My router is not found. Why?

First make sure that your router supports UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) and ensure it's enabled.

There are two point which might cause this problem too:
  • You are too far away. This means that the UPNP device discovery is based on a TTL (Time To Live) of 1 and therefore no devices can be detected which have are not in your local network (to put it easy). This does not mean you have multiple switches but multiple routing instances.
  • There is an issue in creating the device object (e.g. UPnP schema incompatibility).
